The Ukrainian navy says a Russian ship has been destroyed in the occupied port of Berdjansʹk on the Azov Sea, 45 miles (70 kilometres) south‐west of the southern city of Mariupolʹ.
But despite the setbacks, Ukrainian troops have pushed forward around the village of Staromajorsʹke, around 97 km (60 miles) south‐west of Russian‐held Donecʹk, and were pressing on two fronts in the south, Maljar said.
